Rare, early 20th-century Edwardian-era bracket/mantel clock project, originally retailed by the world-renowned luxury Crown Jewellers, The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company, 112 Regent Street, London.

The dial is completely original and features a beautifully patinated silvered face with Roman numerals, blued-steel hour hand, and an upper Fast/Slow timing sub-dial. The clock is housed in its original arched burr-walnut or mahogany-veneered case with fine  dark wood stringing inlay along the arch profile. Includes a matching winding key.

MECHANICAL CONDITION: Sold strictly for parts, restoration, or as a bench project. The movement is partially seized. Our physical workshop inspection reveals that a previous owner has poorly reassembled the mechanism, and the small intermediate idler wheel (cog) that transfers power to the right-hand hand-drive motion works is completely missing.

This is a premium, high-grade donor piece or a highly rewarding restoration project for a professional clockmaker who can cut or source a replacement antique idler wheel. The luxury Regent Street provenance makes this well worth the workbench time.
