Set of six Franciscan fine china luncheon plates in the Wilshire pattern.
Made by Gladding, McBean & Co. of California — the backstamp reads "Franciscan China / Made in California / Wilshire" beneath a mission icon. Franciscan began fine china production in California in 1942, and this backstamp style is consistent with 1940s-era pieces.
Each plate is cream with a wide gold-gilded band around the rim and a fine gold line at the center well — an elegant, formal look.
Each plate measures approximately 9" in diameter.
Condition is excellent: the gold bands are thick and intact with no visible wear, and there are no chips, cracks, or crazing.
