This lot consists of 2 Albums, both inscribed at the front by the same owner, dated 1876 (but with entries covering a number of years).

Both albums contain drawings, sketches, poems and other writing and are typical of examples of the era whereby friends would exchange albums and write or draw in them, making these completely unique items. Some pages contain illustrations, some just hand-written text, and some a mixture of both.

Each album containing over 50 pages of contents, mostly single sided but some double sided. 

The covers are quite rubbed and worn.

Internally the pages are generally in very good condition. Some age toning and marks in places and some pages a bit loose (a couple of pages are detached).

Most of the drawings have been created directly onto the album pages but there are some inserted drawings on a few of the pages.
