Type: Antique Edwardian Novelty Miniature Preserve Jar / Mustard Pot with Matching Lid. Inscription: "Morning and Evening Exercise" in clear cursive script on front (finishing underneath the base edge)
Era: Circa 1900s (Late Victorian / Edwardian)
Material: Fine White Porcelain with fully intact side loop handle Trim: Features excellent surviving original gold luster paint highlights on the lid's top finial knob and neatly preserved around the upper handle join
Condition Report: A rare and wonderful survival of a complete 2-piece antique novelty set. Both the main pot and its original matching lid are in excellent structural condition with no cracks, chips, splits, or repairs. The hadle does have a crack as shown in the pictures. The black script text remains sharp and highly legible. The gold luster paint is bright on the top knob and handle join, with natural age fading around the remaining rims. True to its 100+ year history, the porcelain displays rustic brown "rust spotting" (ferruginous glaze burning) inside the bowl and around the outer surfaces, alongside typical minor shelf wear and kiln texture to the unbranded base. Please inspect the photos to appreciate its authentic character.
