Bond's "Fiesta" Chantilly Heel nylons, 15 denier. Unworn vintage stock, still folded in the original cellophane inside the original pink presentation box.
Style 9211, colour Vista, size 8½, average length. Fully fashioned seamed stockings with the dark contrast Chantilly heel and reinforced welt. Made in Australia by Bond's.
Almost certainly 1950s. The box carries a period pencil inscription on the lid — a Christmas gift message — and on the underside a handwritten name, telephone number and address in the old lettered-exchange format used before Australian numbers went all-numeric in the early 1960s. Someone reused the box as a note pad. It's part of the piece's history rather than a fault, and it's photographed for you.
Stockings: unworn, no runs, ladders, holes or marks. Never taken out of the wrapper.
Box: honest age wear. Edge and corner wear, light soiling and creasing, pencil writing as described. Structurally sound.
Box measures 25 x 18 x 1.5 cm.
A genuine unworn pair of Australian-made seamed nylons in the original packaging — increasingly hard to find, and appealing to vintage dressers, reenactors, and collectors of Australian retail and Bonds history.
