This is a very interesting ewer, I’ve not come across one quite like it before. It could represent a fish or perhaps a bird? To me it shows elements of Asian and Middle Eastern influence however I’ve also seen vaguely similar items that are described as Russian.

Judging from where I acquired it it’s likely at least 60-70 years old however without any distinguishing marks or similar examples I can’t really proclaim a provenance.

It’s approximately 21cm tall and in excellent condition.
