This is an amazing estate find! This very heavy stainless steel (I think) tree stand. It has 9 openings to hold a string of lights. The legs are about 9.5 inches, the main UFO base in diameter 8.75 inches. It was made for real trees as it has a water reservoir. I also think it could hold an aluminum tree as the screws do go in very far. I don't really know what is required to hold an aluminum tree, but if this stand works I think the lights would be absolutely amazing shining up from this base! I don't know how to identify between steel and stainless steel but this looks like stainless. The reason I question that is the rust, but this is a very old piece and that could be the reason. I have done nothing to try to restore this piece-it is in as found condition.
