The quarter leather covers are rubbed and worn:

Volume 1: Frontispiece portrait (black & white) + 5 hand coloured plates

Volume 2: no plates (as expected)

Volume 3: 13 hand coloured plates

Volume 4: 29 hand coloured plates

Volume 5: 44 hand coloured plates

Volume 6: 30 hand coloured plates

Total = 121 hand coloured plates + frontispiece portrait

The pages are generally in good condition but there is heavy foxing throughout all the volumes, including on the plate pages (even though tissue guards remain in place). Please refer to the photographs in this listing to see the extent of the foxing. Nevertheless the hand coloured plates remain attractive with the brighter colours still vivid.
