The book has been rebound by a library. The hardback cover is generally in very good condition, with the blind stamp of Manchester Public Libraries.

Internally the pages are generally in good condition throughout. There are multiple library blindstamps with library stickers inside the front cover. The illustrations remain nice and clear. A few pages are a bit loose, but all pages are present.

Although this volume contains many illustrations from the railroad route there are also multiple pages of advertisements and these are almost of as much interest as the illustrations themselves.
