How to fit
- Remove the wheel.
- Remove the pad retaining pin or clip.
- Slide out the old pads and spring.
- Gently push the pistons back with a clean plastic tool.
- Fit the new pads with the spring.
- Refit the pin or clip.
- Refit the wheel.
- Pump the brake lever until it feels firm.
- Bed in with 10–20 gentle stops before hard braking.
- Keep oil and cleaner off the pads and discs.
Safety note: Brakes are safety-critical. These steps are a general guide only and may differ for your bike. If you're not confident, have the pads fitted by a qualified bike mechanic. Always check the brakes work correctly before riding, and bed in new pads before riding in traffic or at speed.
