These antique Herder & Son tailor shears are a traditional cutting tool associated with the tailoring and textile trades. Tailor’s shears were essential tools for cutting cloth and fabric during garment production and were commonly found in professional tailoring, dressmaking, and sewing shops.

The Philadelphia connection makes these an interesting example of historic tailoring equipment and local trade history. Specialized shears such as these are popular with collectors of antique sewing tools, textile equipment, and traditional trade implements.

Overall in decent shape but the screw and nut are t original and need replaced. It’s very sloppy and not tight. Couldn’t be used with this hardware.
