Used - paint and adhesive residue on the housing; connectors mechanically good, electrical performance not tested. calibrated April 2025
Used item with visible cosmetic wear: numerous yellow paint marks and adhesive/sticker residue on the sides and around the four corners of the housing, plus sticker removal marks above the label. All front markings (86205A, 300 kHz-6 GHz, 50 Ohm, 1.5 dB LOSS, 16 dB coupling, MAX +25 dBm / 30 VDC / 1 A, 0 V DC on coupled arm, ESD caution) remain fully legible and the serial label is intact. The April 2025 calibration label is also still attached and legible. Mechanically the unit is sound and the three Type-N female connectors show no center-conductor deformation, no chipped dielectric, and no looseness in the body mounting. Please purchase this item with the understanding that it is a used item.
Operation Check
Calibration history: this bridge came out of a Japanese instrument rental & lease fleet and still carries its original calibration label (see photos). The label reads: calibrated April 2025, calibration period valid through April 2026, issued by Yokogawa Rental & Lease. That period has now passed, and no calibration certificate or measurement data comes with the unit, so it is NOT sold as a currently calibrated instrument. What it does tell you is that this bridge was kept under a professional calibration program until recently instead of being untracked surplus, and that it passed a full calibration only about a year before we listed it.
Our own check: this is a passive RF device, so there is no power-on or display check. Inspection was mechanical and visual only. The three Type-N female connectors were visually checked and cleaned, and a Type-N male cable was hand-tightened onto all three ports with smooth, correct mating confirmed. Electrical performance (insertion loss, coupling, directivity, port match) was NOT measured because we do not have a vector network analyzer or calibration standards in house, and connector pin depth was not gauge-measured. Please treat the unit as untested for electrical performance and verify it on your own VNA.

The Keysight (Agilent/HP) 86205A is a 50 Ohm RF directional bridge covering 300 kHz to 6 GHz, used to separate the reflected signal from the incident signal so that return loss, SWR, and impedance match can be measured. It is printed with 1.5 dB nominal insertion loss and 16 dB coupling, and features three Type-N female ports (RF input, measurement/test port, and coupled arm), with maximum ratings of +25 dBm, 30 VDC, and 1 A. Typical applications include reflection measurements with spectrum analyzers, scalar or vector network analyzer setups, tracking-generator-based return loss testing, and general antenna, cable, and component match evaluation in RF labs and production areas.
