Beautiful antique Chinese folding fan with original box, circa 1850. 

The blue upper leaf features a Chinese court with applied faces and hand applied silk clothes, surrounded by flowers. The verso is a vibrant purple leaf with more figures inside a large vignette and two smaller depicting flowers, yellow butterflies, and Chinese traditional symbols in blue. 

The guard sticks are finely carved and in great condition.

This is over 200 years old, with tears as shown. It has old repairs at two folds that are glued together, and two sticks are taken out. 

The fan is still strong, functional, and displays beautifully. Please view all photos. 

Comes in its original box, in good antique condition, and looks like signed.
