A beautiful vintage Seiko Dolce 6030-5500.

This early Japanese-market Dolce has a wonderfully slim angular design, with a champagne dial, elegant applied baton markers and the distinctive Dolce script at 6 o’clock.

The case is marked SGP30, denoting Seiko’s substantial 30-micron gold-plated case, paired with a stainless-steel case back.

One of the nicest details is the distinctive black cabochon-set crown, which adds a touch of jewellery-style finishing to the otherwise clean and minimalist design.

The dial presents particularly well for its age, with matching gold hands and markers giving the watch a very sharp classic 1980s dress-watch look.

Fitted with a gold-tone expansion bracelet which suits the watch beautifully.

There is visible age-related wear to the gold plating around sections of the case and normal marks from use, all clearly shown in the photographs. Overall, however, the watch remains a very attractive example, particularly the dial and crystal.

A stylish early Seiko Dolce with proper 30-micron gold plating, slim proportions and unmistakable vintage Japanese design.
