This is one item from my personal collection that I hate parting with, but I am trying to downsize and am no longer the audiophile I once was.
I purchased these Stanton Dynaphase Fifty-Five stereo headphones when they were first introduced in 1979 and have owned them ever since. They have always been very well cared for, kept clean and were only rarely used.
I recently tested them again prior to listing and they work perfectly, with clear sound from both left and right channels.
The headphones are in exceptionally nice vintage condition for their age. The ear pads are excellent, with no cracking or deterioration, and the padded headband, chrome trim and earcups have also been remarkably well preserved. Please see the detailed photographs for their exact cosmetic condition.
Years later, I placed the headphones in a V-MODA molded Exoskeleton hard carrying case for additional protection. The V-MODA case is not original to the Stanton headphones, but fits them nicely and has helped keep them protected while stored.
Also included are the multiple-size audio plug adapters shown in the photographs, allowing the headphones to be connected to equipment with different-size headphone jacks.
Included in this sale:
Vintage Stanton Dynaphase Fifty-Five stereo headphones
V-MODA protective hard carrying case with it's black carabiner clasp
Multiple audio plug adapters as pictured
Long attached headphone cable (10 feet)
These are a wonderful example of late-1970s Stanton audio equipment and are becoming increasingly difficult to find in this kind of clean, fully working condition.
One-owner pair, purchased new by me when introduced in 1979. Tested and working perfectly.
Everything included is shown in the photographs. Please refer to all photos for condition and exactly what you will receive.
