This is the power version of the 4.0 dome. Unlike open and vented domes, the power dome uses a closed double-layer design that seals the ear canal. That keeps amplified sound from leaking back out, which means more usable gain in the low frequencies and much less whistling feedback. It is the dome type normally fitted for moderate to severe hearing loss.Large is the widest power dome size at 12 mm, for wider ear canals. If your current dome measures around 11.5 mm you need the Medium instead; sizes are not interchangeable, so measure or check the dome currently fitted to your receiver before ordering.Please note this is a power dome, not a vented or open dome.
