Rare Blüthner upright piano c.1900 in ebony black. Blüthner are one of the great German piano makers, known since 1853 for their distinctive singing tone and finely made actions. Pianos from this era are sought after by players and collectors for their character and build quality. This upright is in good full working order. Tuned regularly and currently sounds in tune. It appears to have had some maintenance over the years including refelting of hammers and new hammers and parts fitted. All 88 keys and pedals work smoothly. The keys are clean.

It has the warm, mellow Blüthner tone with good clarity and sustain. The touch is responsive with a medium weight, even action that suits classical, jazz and home playing. The ebony case shows some charm and patina consistent with its age, giving it real presence in a room. DELIVERY: starts from £130. Send postcode for quote
