The product is a vintage 1960s mannequin head made of metal wire, designed by Potential Unlimited in the style of the famed artist Frederic Weinberg. This unique sculpture is a piece of retro Mid-Century Modern art, manufactured in the United States. It would make a striking display piece for collectors of vintage items or those interested in the work of Frederic Weinberg. I bought this in Coronado, CA about 30 years ago having no idea what it was just thought it was cool.
I was informed by a collector of Frederic Weinberg that this is not an actual piece of his but another company that started designing these around 1959 and admirers and collectors alike started attributing them to Weinberg. I am not sure as many collectors collect these and only one reached out to me.
