A little selection of Thanet sea glass found by me over the years that I've lived here.
Collected from the beaches around Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Margate.
Who knows where the glass originated: Thanet has a rich history!
Could some of these pieces have been left behind by Victorian day trippers? Might they be from one of the 2000 shipwrecks reported on the Goodwin Sands? From the clashes between the Mods and the Rockers in 1964, or from an all night beach rave in the 80s or 90s?
There's subtle differences in the white pieces; some have a hint of blue as you can see in the photos.
