Beautiful antique Chinese hand embroidered silk PIANO SHAWL

Approx size of silk area: 50" square

Tassels: 12" long 

Expertly embroidered with strong thread giving the work a raised texture.

The edging gives good weight to this which leads to it draping beautifully.

There is one broken bit in the hand-knotted edging. The tassels are a bit undone at the ends.

There are a few feint marks on the silk - all shown in last photos. 

Photos taken outside on a sunny day - colours may vary. This is actually a shade darker than shown.
