DESCRIPTION

Vintage solid copper jug by De Klerk of the Netherlands, stamped on the base De Klerk Original.

A classic Dutch copper form with a rounded globular body, a flared tapering neck with a wide rolled lip, and a generous tubular loop handle brazed to the neck and shoulder. Unpolished, with a warm natural patina that gives it real character; it would polish up bright if preferred, but the aged finish suits a farmhouse, country or cottage kitchen as it is. Lovely as a flower jug, for dried arrangements, or as a display piece on a dresser or hearth.

Unlined copper, so intended as a decorative jug rather than for drinks.
