Approximately 10.5 inches long, 19.5 inches wide (unfolded).

A gorgeous, authentic turn-of-the-century ladies' evening folding fan, dating to the late Victorian or Edwardian era (circa 1890–1910). This exquisite piece features a single-leaf cream silk ground elegantly decorated with hand-painted romantic floral motifs, including pink roses and blue forget-me-nots. The upper border is lavishly trimmed with plush, genuine marabou down feathers.

The monture (sticks and guard pieces) is crafted from early molded celluloid, beautifully styled to replicate antique "French Ivory." The outer guards feature vertical ribbing and delicate geometric openwork. The inner sticks feature beautiful inset silver/dark pigment detailing that makes the patterns pop. It comes complete with its original brass rivet, paste-gemstone accent eye, molded loop, original satin carrying ribbon, and its original rectangular pasteboard storage box.
