This particular instrument is the LUKE II, which appeared around 1998. It differs significantly from the original model; the original featured a locking tremolo and EMG SA/SA/85 pickups, while the LUKE II uses a MUSIC MAN floating vintage tremolo, and the front and center pickups have been changed to SLV.
In addition, the original had only one volume control, while the LUKE II has one volume and one tone control. To ensure tuning stability, Schaller locking tuners have been adopted, and this model embodies Lukather's meticulous attention to detail.

There are minor scratches, and some tarnishing and rust on the metal parts. The truss rod is functioning well, with ample adjustment range in both forward and reverse directions.
The neck is almost perfectly straight, having been adjusted with the truss rod. While there are signs of fret leveling, the frets still have plenty of height and do not significantly affect playability.
