EDITION:
This historic 70th-anniversary set was
strictly limited to only 100 sets worldwide, and this particular set bears the
matching serial number #090 engraved on all three reels and stamped on the wood
box.
Superbly crafted by Hardy in Alnwick,
England, these reels feature Winston’s traditional and iconic emerald green
Paint Finish, classic ivory-style handles, and flawless vintage aesthetics.
As collectors of the Winston/Hardy
collaboration know, while later standard-production individual reels of this
era were transitioned to an anodized (oxidized film) finish for durability,
this legendary 1999 Commemorative Limited Edition set preserves the beautiful,
classic Paint Finish across the entire line, exactly as it was originally
designed and shipped from the factory.
Condition Details:
Reels: Solid MINT / Unused condition.
The original factory emerald green paint finish is entirely flawless with
absolutely no bubbling, chipping, or wear. Never spooled with line, never
mounted on a rod. Mechanically perfect with that classic, tight Hardy Perfect
click check.
Presentation Box: Excellent condition
with stunning wood grain and beautifully engraved anniversary graphics. Inside
velvet lining is clean and fully intact.
Paperwork & Accessories: 100%
Complete. Includes the original 70th-anniversary booklet, warranty papers, all
three original "Final Inspection" cards signed by Paula at Twin
Bridges, Montana, and three original promotional/dealer cards printed on
premium gold-flecked paper.
Note on Promotional Cards: One card is
in near-mint condition, while the other two show minor natural curling and a
few light creases/folds due to age (please check photos carefully). There are
no major tears, and the text/graphics remain beautifully preserved.
