This large boomerang shaped stick measures 107cm in length and was collected in Western Queensland and has an attached label that reads 'The Warning Stick Always Placed in front of Hiding Ceremonial Artefacts to Keep Women Away 1939' The piece is made from hardwood and has a gentle curve with tapered ends. The upper side has a round surface while the underside is quite flat and has a surface displays age related weathering and a deep aged patina. There is a natural flaw in the timber on the underside.
