DESCRIPTION Pretty antique English Georgian solid sterling silver pedestal sauce boat with punch bead top rim, a gilded interior and discretely engraved initials "SS" to one side. I did wonder if the two-part handle, threaded upper section and plain lower, was a repair but the same handle can be seen in David Shure's book on Hester Bateman in plates; IX (bead edged crem jug), XVII (cruet stand), XXII (tea urn), LVIII (cruet stand), LXV (sugar bowl), LXVII (sugar bowl) and probably a few more but the images are side on and low quality
