This TAKANO 14051 Precision Prime is a rare vintage Japanese manual-wind watch from TAKANO, one of the most fascinating short-lived names in Japanese watchmaking history.

The Precision Prime features a 17-jewel manual-wind movement and represents TAKANO's early mechanical watchmaking. TAKANO produced wristwatches for only a relatively short period before the company became part of Ricoh, making surviving examples particularly interesting to collectors of vintage Japanese watches.

The elegant gold-tone case, classic three-hand dial layout, and compact 34.5mm proportions give this watch a distinctive late-1950s to early-1960s Japanese dress watch character.

The watch was serviced in July 2026 and is running with a measured daily rate of approximately +11 to +47 seconds.
