This CITIZEN Homer HO150306 is an early example of one of CITIZEN's most important manual-wind watch families. Introduced in 1960, the Homer was designed with future automated assembly in mind and became a long-running and reliable mechanical series in CITIZEN's history.

Produced in 1961, this example represents the early generation of the Homer line. Its classic gold-tone case, compact 35mm proportions, and traditional hand-wound movement capture the elegant character of Japanese dress watches from the early 1960s.

The Homer movement became known for its simple and robust construction and remained in production for many years. The series also later formed the basis for specialized models, including the well-known Homer Second Setting watches used by Japanese railway personnel.
