When the car's [CHECK Engine] or [Engine Management] warning light is on, you can use this code reader to:

Read the fault codes: with code explanation, you can find the problem very quickly.
Erase Code: After fix the problem, you can use it to erase the code.
Turn off ELM Warning Light: After you fix the problem, and erase the code, CHECK ENGINE warning light will go off.

What is OBD / OBD2 / EOBD ?

OBD is a standardized automotive analysis and diagnostic technology.

In concrete terms, this technology makes it possible to trace vehicle breakdowns and defects. This information is read via the OBD2 port, which is equally standard and present in all vehicles manufactured after 2001.

Consequently, if a fault is detected, the on-board computer triggers the "CHECK ENGINE" light (orange light in the shape of an engine block) to alert the driver.

Our OBD2 diagnostic tool allows you to read this "Fault Code", identify the origin of the anomaly and clear the indicator light on the dashboard

Where is the OBD2 port on my vehicle?

Different car makes may put the OBD2 port at different positions.

The OBD2 port of a vehicle is usually located in zone A or B (see picture below).

It may be in zone C or D on some models.
