Original vintage Coca-Cola illuminated advertising sign, dating from the 1970s and originally used in an old shop as a commercial advertising display.
A great period piece featuring the classic red Coca-Cola script with green “ICE COLD” and “SERVED HERE” lettering.
The sign has now been fitted with a new modern LED light, which works very well and gives a lovely warm, even illumination across the front, as shown in the photographs.
Importantly, I have retained the original light fitting, which is included with the sale together with a spare original-type bulb. This means the sign can be enjoyed using the modern, low-energy LED while the original lighting equipment remains with it.
The sign retains its original wall-mounting brackets.
Approximate dimensions: 38 cm wide × 6.5 cm high × 6.5 cm deep, excluding the projecting wall-mounting fittings.
One of the real advantages of this piece is its compact size. At just 38 cm wide, it is large enough to make a strong visual impact when illuminated, but small enough to fit comfortably into a home bar, man cave, games room, kitchen or display area without dominating the space.
Equally, because this was originally a commercial advertising sign, it would also look completely at home if returned to a retail setting, café, diner, pub or bar, either as a decorative feature or as part of a vintage-themed interior.
This is a genuine vintage advertising item and therefore shows some age-related marks, wear and discolouration consistent with its previous commercial use. Please study all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the description.
