Vintage marble obelisk trophy with glass plaque mounted with metal screws. Measures: 6" hight; 2" wight (at the base). Weighs: 1 lb 3 oz. Great patina and texture on the stone.

CONDITION DESCRIOTION: Very good vintage condition. Note: Small hair crack on the glass next to the top screw & minor flea bite on the edge above word "Excellence".

ABOUT THE AWARD: The SBA describes the Eisenhower Award as one of its prestigious awards for large prime contractors that excel in using small businesses. It is a dark green/black marble obelisk, with a separate glass faceplate/plaque secured by three brass screws. So I would describe it as a marble/stone obelisk with a glass face. The McDonnell Douglas/Kennedy Space Center connection is independently consistent with NASA. NASA documents from the period identify McDonnell Douglas Space Systems Company as operating a Kennedy Space Center division, including its work for NASA
