Here we have a hand made primer powder flask loosely based on medieval designs of the time. The spout and cap are both reclaimed bullet brass, the fill hole cap is threaded wood. The wood is sealed with hand ground garnet shellac, giving it a shiny finish. The red cord is long enough to go around the neck and hang just above belt level or can be altered to attach directly to the bandolier. I didn't measure the amount of primer powder this will hold but has got to be at least 25 CCs. The brass top can be removed if the need arises but do not force the cap on the spout, to avoid damage. The mouth of the spout is just about 3/16 inches in diameter, so it would be a fairly fast spout. The body is about 5 inches long plus 2 inches for the spout. Bees wax has been applied to the wooden threads to help prevent sticking and act as a lubricant. It is the responsibility of the buyer to use these in a safe manner. No smoking, avoid any direct contact with sparks and keep your distance from camp fires and artillery. Do not leave the apostles, flasks or match hiders loaded when not in use or within the reach of the public or children. Ask questions before buying. This item is cross posted.
