Many historic glass manufacturers used numbers to identify specific factory molds. Because of old superstitions surrounding the number 13, many of these specific jars were discarded, broken, or hidden away by homemakers over the decades, making them incredibly difficult to find today.
- Production Era: These authentic jars were manufactured between 1923 and 1933. This was the final golden era for Ball’s iconic aqua-blue colored glass before the factory permanently transitioned to clear glass.
