A fabulous sterling silver top mounted with Bacchus spout and features his muses , Bacchantes decorated with grapes as hair ornaments and clad in grapevine leaves.

Acanthus pinecone finial surrounded by grapevine leaves.

Hand etched flowing grapes and grapevines leaves on bulbous pear shaped body.

Features strong and very stylish sterling silver fluted C shaped handle.

The underside of the base has a precision diamond cut starburst / Lemon slice. 

The sterling silver collar & strong 5 hinged lid are stamped clear hallmarks on the collar and in wonderful condition.

This Claret / Water Jug is in excellent condition, the only marks are on the side of base where contact to the surface.

This fabulous Claret / Water Jug is Perfect to entertain your Bacchanalian time.

Condition 

Excellent condition, Sterling Silver is free from any nasty dents, dints or scratches, 

Sterile Silver is bright and shiny without any dull areas, sterling silver mount is solid and sealed, 

Lid opens & closes as it should do and the five segment hinge is strong and operates perfectly,

  The solid Crystal body is free from any nibbles, scratches, interior is clear of any fogging or pitting, there is little liquid staining under the sterling silver mount, which is normal, underside of the base ( surface contact area ) is free from any  surface scratches.

The jug stands straight & true, no wobbles. 

There maybe some very fine marks commensurate with usage, however they would be very minor on this beautiful piece,
