Bring cloudy, yellowed and oxidised plastic light lenses back to a cleaner, clearer appearance with this headlight restoration kit. It is suitable for vehicle headlights, taillights, fog lights and direction indicator lenses, helping to remove haze, fading, surface corrosion and light scratches from suitable plastic surfaces.

The kit includes an 85g tube of polishing paste, a backing pad with spindle, orange polishing discs, black finishing discs, a white polishing pad, masking tape and sanding discs in a range of grades shown as P800, P1200, P1500, P2000, P3000 and P5000. The progressive grades allow you to work from heavier surface wear towards a finer finish before polishing.

Before starting, wash the lens with water and mask the surrounding paintwork. Wet the sanding disc and work through the grades from coarse to fine. Attach the orange sponge disc to the backing pad, apply the paste and polish the lens until the clarity and shine have been restored. An electric buffer or polisher can make the work easier, while hand polishing should be carried out with firm circular strokes. Keep the finished lens dry and avoid washing the vehicle for 24 hours after treatment.
