Hornby R2092 City of London LMS Coronation Special Edition 0357/1000 Boxed (DC Tender Drive)

Available here is a superb Hornby R2092 LMS Princess Coronation Class 4-6-2 No. 6245 “City of London” (tender drive), presented in its distinctive wartime black streamlined LMS livery.

This model was produced as a Special Edition limited to just 1,000 examples, with this particular locomotive being No. 0357 of 1000, as confirmed by the original numbered label on the box.

The locomotive is in excellent overall condition, with the streamlined bodywork, nameplates, numbering and LMS tender lettering presenting extremely well, as shown in the photographs.

Supplied in its original Hornby Railways box with original polystyrene insert and Hornby operating/running-in instructions. The box is in good condition for its age with some normal storage and edge wear, all of which is shown in the photographs.

This is an original Made in England Hornby model and represents No. 6245 City of London in its striking streamlined wartime black appearance.
