1671.16N A red-anodized aluminum socket cut for the generic 16-notch pattern shared by most current external bottom brackets: Hollowtech II, GXP, DUB, MegaExo, Race Face Cinch, Chris King. Aluminum sits in the same hardness order as the anodized cup, so full install torque through a 1/2-inch drive doesn't chew up the finish.1671.T47. T47 is the bottom bracket standard Chris King helped develop, adopted by Trek (T47i, internal-bearing) among others. The shell is 47 mm threaded with a 1.0 mm thread pitch; wider than BSA (33.7 mm at 1.37") which lets the cup house a 30 mm spindle without forcing the bearing inboard into the frame, where it traditionally lived in the BB30 era. The T47 cup is the answer to the ”want a 30 mm spindle without going press-fit“ question that came out of the BB30 / PF30 era. The 1671 Aluminum BB Socket cut for T47 fits the cup's specific notch profile. T47's wide diameter means the cup OD is dimensionally different from any other BB family in the catalog; a standard 16-notch wrench won't fit at all, not just fit imprecisely. The dedicated socket is the only correct tool for T47 cup installation and removal.
1671.BBR60 The Shimano BBR60 is the bottom bracket the workshop sees most often. It's the current-generation Hollowtech II road external cup that ships on a wide swath of Shimano-equipped road bikes, which means it's the cup that lands on the bench every week, not every quarter. A precision socket for the BBR60 is a daily tool, not a specialty one.
1671.BSA30. BSA30 is the threaded variant of the 30 mm-spindle BB family. Same 1.37" × 24 TPI shell threading as standard BSA (so it threads into a regular BSA frame), but the cups are bored for a 30 mm spindle instead of 24 mm. Race Face Cinch, Praxis M30, Rotor 30 mm cranksets, and other 30 mm-spindle cranks that need a threaded-shell installation use BSA30 cups in BSA-threaded frames. There is no ”BSA30 press-fit“ variant; the press-fit equivalents for a 30 mm spindle are PF30 (42 mm shell ID, 68 or 73 mm shell width) or PF30A (Cannondale's offset variant).
