A used Woody Guthrie Southern Jumbo has arrived! The Southern Jumbo is a model characterized by its decorative binding and inlays.
This particular instrument is named after the American folk singer Woody Guthrie and was produced from 2003. Based on wartime specifications, it features a banner headstock, a binding-less fretboard, and a fire-stripe pickguard.
The all-solid round-shoulder body uses Sitka spruce for the top and mahogany for the sides and back. The mahogany neck, with a nut width of approximately 43mm and a 24.75" Gibson scale length, is fitted with a rosewood fingerboard featuring double parallelogram inlays.
The headstock is equipped with white knob Kluson-type tuners. Originally, this model had a pickup installed, but it has now been removed and is a non-pickup model. *The saddle has been replaced, the end pin is non-original (larger size), and a strap pin has been added to the neck heel.
The truss rod has been checked to within 60 degrees in both directions and is functioning correctly, and there is still plenty of fret life remaining. Yes.
There are several traces inside the body where pickups were removed. There is a horizontal line of paint discoloration on the left side of the center of the body top (likely a handprint from the player's right hand).
There is a paint crack near the end of the fretboard on the body top (next to the 6th string). (It's not very noticeable.) There are signs of lacquer paint interference on the back of the neck. There are scattered minor dents, scratches, scuffs, and signs of age, but the playability is good!
