Year of manufacture: 2012 Condition: No problems for normal use Weight: 2.14kg Accessories: Original hardshell case, spec sheet This D-45 Custom features an Adirondack spruce top and Madagascar rosewood sides and back. Considering its age, this 2012 model is in relatively good condition.
This 14-fret joint dreadnought body features an Adirondack spruce top and Madagascar rosewood sides and back. It boasts a rear-shifted scalloped bracing made of Adirondack spruce, a tortoiseshell pickguard, a 44.0mm nut width (measured), a thin, low-profile select hardwood neck, an ebony fingerboard, an ebony bridge, smooth-turning Waverly Gold 4060 tuners, hexagon inlays on the fingerboard, and carefully selected abalone pearl trim and rosette.
Combined with a slightly yellowish aging toner finish, it achieves the refined and luxurious design characteristic of the Style 45. There is a rice-grain-sized dent under the bridge on the body top (near the bridge pins for the 2nd and 3rd strings), a small dent near the lower right of the pickguard, and other minor scratches and scuffs that are only visible under light.
However, there is no extremely large damage such as cracks or peeling, nor are there deep pick marks or buckle scratches from heavy playing. Considering its age, it is in relatively good condition.
The neck is almost perfectly straight, the truss rod is functioning well, and the frets show only very slight wear in the lower positions on the treble strings. There is no noticeable buzzing or dead spots, and playability is excellent.
In addition to the sparkling tone characteristic of the D-45, the "rear-shifted" scalloped bracing produces a thick, resonant, and powerful sound. This is a highly recommended guitar for those seeking a special look, sound, and excellent condition, further customized from the top-of-the-line D-45 model.
