The first thing that catches the eye is the body, which appears to have a vibrant buckeye burl top. The magnificent maple through-neck, using two pieces of maple as wings, is of such high quality that it's no exaggeration to call it a work of art.
This is a standard material for this model. The pickups are Lane Poor JB5s.
You can enjoy a clear and transparent NYC sound that embodies the word "superior." It pairs perfectly with the original preamp equipped with an orthodox 3-band EQ, and it seems no wonder that it is loved by many studio musicians. The basic main parts have not been modified, but there is no strap pin.
However, the neck is currently in good condition. The truss rod is a little stiff, but we were able to confirm movement of about half a turn.
Since it is difficult to adjust the truss rod with the included original wrench, we checked its operation with an L-shaped wrench of the same standard. Fodera is a leading name in high-end basses.
