This miniature Zuni fetish pot was likely made by Marvelita Phillips. It is adorned with three carved bear fetishes bordered by naturally colorful parrot feathers. The surface of the pot is covered with crushed blue natural turquoise. This is a special kind of pot used to spiritually feed, enrich & protect your carved animal fetishes, which can be placed inside or near the pot. The bears provide protection & medicine. There is residue of white cornmeal inside the bowl, the spiritual food preferred by fetishes. The pot was made of local clay. It measures approx 2.25" H x 3.75" W x 3.75" D; the opening is 1.75" W. This is unsigned as it is a spiritual item, but was made in the style of Marvelita Phillips. 

 

Excellent Condition! The feathers on this have been replaced as the original ones were damaged.
