Unsigned Micaceous Pueblo Pot

This unusual rustic pueblo pot was made using coils of micaceous clay with decorative flanges added at the shoulder. It was built of sacred local clay infused with sparkly pieces of mica that is used by several northern New Mexican tribes: notably Taos, Picuris & Nambe. This is unsigned so we can only speculate who may have made it, but Taos pieces are more readily available on the market. The piece measures 4” H x 6” W x 6” D. It has a rustic quality seen in pieces made before 1970. This would look great with any collection of southwest native American art.

Excellent Condition. No issues.
