Amarillo, Texas artist Andi Wardlaw has been crafting her carved gourd art for well over 10 years & sells her work in Texas galleries. This piece is representative of her mixed media work. It was carved & decorated with three heavily textured medallions punctuated with semiprecious gems: a Kokopelli, a turtle & a mandala pattern. She uses a variety of techniques including carving, woodburning & painting. The colors are earthy tones of brown & beige, rust & bright turquoise blue. This seats firmly on an attached cork base. It is signed AW and dated 2009. Her business card is included. It measures approx 7" H x  5" W x 5" D. This is a nice example of the craft.
