Bessie Namoki (1922-2010) created this appealing miniature whiteware pot. It is decorated with two scroll like stylized birds in red and brown. She handbuilt this of local clay, coated it with a white slip, polished the surface & painted it with designs in vegetal & mineral based paints. This was pit fired outside in the traditional manner. This is signed B Namoki on the base. It measures approx 1.75" H x 1.25" W x 1.25" D. It is a charming miniature with fine painting that is sure to become a favorite in any collection!

Very Good Condition commensurate with age. There is some distressing, as shown.
