1984 Royal Australian Mint Australia Uncirculated $1 One Dollar Coin — Mob of Roos in OGP

A wonderful piece of Australian decimal history. Struck by the Royal Australian Mint (RAM), 1984 marks the historic first year of issue for the Australian $1 coin, which was introduced to replace the traditional green paper $1 banknote.

This coin features the iconic "Mob of Roos" reverse design by Stuart Devlin, showcasing five kangaroos in motion. The obverse displays the classic portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Arnold Machin. This coin is housed in its Original Government Packaging (OGP)—the official brown plastic RAM wallet pack—keeping it exactly as it left the mint over 40 years ago.
