A gorgeous, highly collectible matching pair of vintage 1980s "Woman of the Wind" (also known as "Lady in the Wind") figurative art sculptures.
These pieces are the epitome of 1980s Postmodern and Southwestern Art Deco Revival design. Because they face opposite directions, they make an incredible symmetrical statement piece on a mantle, console table, bookshelves, or used as heavy decorative bookends.
Design Features & Aesthetics: -
- Silhouettes: Features a serene, stylized female face transitioning seamlessly into dramatically swept-back, flowing hair.
- Finish: A unique, highly textured, faux-stone matte finish in a classic '80s dusty rose/pink hue.
- The "Shimmer" Effect: The textured surface is embedded with subtle, eye-catching iridescent glitter flecks that catch the light beautifully.
- Authenticity: Marked on the bottom unglazed inner rim with the authentic etched factory mold code "1442".
- Condition: Excellent vintage condition with no major chips, structural cracks, or repairs to the primary focal areas or faces. As is typical with slip-cast chalkware and ceramic molds of this era, there is minor, expected shelf wear, small superficial scuffs and minor chips, and dark rub marks along the unglazed base/bottom edge.
