Pete Walker's Loray Shoe 2 Ink Blotter Gastonia NC Exposition Philadelphia 1930

This is a lot of two vintage ink blotter that advertise, " Pete Walker's Loray Shoe Service" in Gastonia, NC. The large blotter measures 6 3/4" x 3 18" and features a black and white photo of the First Prize Gold Metal won at the International Repair Contest for Shoe Repairers and Dealers at the 1930 Exposition in Philadelphia. The photos show front and back side of the Gold Metal. The text tells about the Penn-Standard Sole Cementing Process.  The yellow blotter measures 6" x 3" and advertises Pete Walker's Shoe Service in Gastonia, N.C and Penn Leathers. These are pre-owned vintage ink blotters with everyday handle wear. Ink blotters were used on the desk top to absorb ink from fountain pens. There is pencil writing on the back sides...see photos.
