Title: Original 1939 Illustrated Catalog for Silver Brush/Mirror Sets From The Watson Company (Attleboro, MA)
Publication: Attleboro, MA: The Watson Company, 1939
Edition: First Edition
Description: Original wraps. Near Fine.
"Skillfully wrought by the craftsmen of Watson Park, combining heavy Sterling Silver with the finest of bristles, combs and accessories."
Original "Boudoir Services for America's Finest Dressing Tables" catalog with retial price list laid-in loose. Scarce original retail catalog featuring numerous B/W photographic detail pages alongside product descriptions. Bound in the original comb-binding with rough cut edges to front and rear cover. Each of the brushes detailed are named as if the buyer formed a personal relationship with the instrument used to brush his/her hair. I happen to really like the "Lady Madison" although the "Minerva" is nice as well. Obviously from a time when great expense and great care was taken by the chosen few who were able to purchase these luxury goods in America. A rare surviving example of this fashion accessory catalog with OCLC locating "0" copies of any catalog from The Watson Company in Attleboro.
Hint of rubbing at edges.
