An original Joseph Lucas Ltd. “King of the Road” No. 722 oil side lamp, manufactured in Birmingham, England for early veteran and vintage motor cars or motorcycles.

This authentic Lucas lamp retains its original identification plate marked “King of the Road No. 722 – Lucas Ltd. B’ham”, original front glass lens, burner, and oil reservoir. A wonderful unrestored example with excellent display appeal for collectors of early motoring memorabilia.

Condition

Good vintage condition with honest age-related wear. The lamp retains its original finish with paint loss, surface rust, oxidation, scratches, and general signs of age and use. The front glass lens is intact and the original burner is present. The top vent/chimney cap has damage as shown in the photographs. Untested and sold as a display/collector’s item.
