This is a beautiful empty antique postcard album from the Edwardian era, published by The Pictorial Stationery Co Ltd of London.
The album contains 24 pages in total, which provides enough storage slots to hold up to 96 standard vintage postcards when placed back to back. The original yellow manufacturer label from The Pictorial Stationery Co is still fully intact in the bottom corner of the inner front cover, marking its historical provenance.
The internal pages are exceptionally clean for their age, showing very little of the usual brown foxing or aging spots. There is some minor tearing to four of the internal card frames, which is very typical for an album of this age, but the slots remain functional. The album has been left exactly as found and no repairs have been attempted with tape or adhesive to preserve its total originality.
This is a fantastic piece of social history ephemera that is perfect for a collector looking for period accurate storage to display a vintage postcard collection. Please review all the photographs carefully to inspect the condition of the cover, spine, and inner pages before making a purchase.
The album will be carefully wrapped and securely dispatched in a sturdy box to ensure safe transit.
